Capt. Eric Sinibaldi

Captain Eric J. Sinibaldi is a native of Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science and earned his commission through the Boston University Navy ROTC program in May 1997.
He was designated a Naval Flight Officer in March 1999 and reported to the “Vikings” of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 129 at NAS Whidbey Island, Washington for initial training in the EA-6B Prowler.
Additional sea duty assignments include VAQ-137 “Rooks, back to VAQ-129 as the Fleet Replacement Squadron Instructor, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9 as the Airplans/Scheduling Officer, VAQ-132 “Scorpions” for department head, and VAQ-130 “Zappers” for his executive officer and commanding officer tours.
His shore tours included serving as an action officer in the Pacific and Africa Divisions on the Joint Staff, Executive Assistant to the Deputy Directorate for Regional Operations (J-33), action officer in the Air Warfare Division of Director, Operational Test and Evolution for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Digital Transformation Office on the OPNAV staff as the Executive Assistant/Chief of Staff for the Chief Digital Transformation Officer.
Captain Sinibaldi has accumulated over 2,600 flight hours, over 620 carrier arrested landings and has flown numerous combat sorties in direct support of Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria.
His personal awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, the Strike/Flight Air Medal (four awards), Individual Air Medal, and the Joint Service Commendation Medal.
