A 2006 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Commander Dan Rogers earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He is originally from Hicksville, NY.
A career surface warfare officer, Commander Rogers’ shipboard assignments include: USS OAK HILL (LSD 51) as Weapons Officer and Main Propulsion Division Officer, USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65) as Assistant First Lieutenant, USS PAUL HAMILTON (DDG 60) as Operations Officer, and USS MANCHESTER (LCS 14) as Operations Officer. Ashore, he served as Training Officer for Center for Personal and Professional Development Learning Site Dam Neck, VA. Most recently, he served as Flag Secretary and N7 Assistant Chief of Staff at Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group THREE in San Diego, CA. Commander Rogers holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Troy University and completed Joint Professional Military Education Phase I through the U.S. Naval War College.
His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (with two gold stars), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (with three gold stars), and various campaign, unit, and service awards.
